Rangers’ Offense Crazy Good

If you can find another team in the league whose 9th place hitter can hit a ball this far, please let me know.

That should give you an idea of how good the offense can be.  They haven’t always shown it this year.  Yeah, I’m looking at you month of July.  But, right now they are just killing the ball.

Over their last 9 contests, they are averaging 8 runs per game.  In August, they are 1st in all of the majors in average, 1st in OPS, 5th in HRs, 1st in RBIs, 1st in runs, 1st in hits, 1st in on-base percentage, and 1st in slugging.  On the flip-side, they have only more strikeouts than the Dodgers.

For the same month, David Murphy is hitting .384, Mitch Moreland is hitting .343, Elvis Andrus–.340, Adrian Beltre–.323, and Josh Hamilton–.292.

They are now 24 games over .500 and have the best record in the American League.  Their lead over Oakland is 6 games and their lead over Anaheim is now 10.  This has been a complete turnaround from a horrible July.

If you’re not watching, you should.  Chances are you might see a 3-run homerun game, someone hit for the cycle, or something even better.
