A Very Satisfying Moment

If you didn’t watch yesterday’s win against the Royals, then you missed one of the more satisfying moments of the season.

In the top of the 6th Adrian Beltre did this:

Nelson Cruz immediately followed with this:

If you notice, Cruz paused a moment to admire his blast to left.  The video doesn’t show how long he stood there, but it apparently made the Royals mad.  So, when Cruz came up again in the top of the 9th, this happened:

There are few things in baseball more satisfying than to have the next batter mash a dinger right after one of your guys gets plunked on purpose.  So, in honor of Michael Young’s 5th homerun of the season, here’s to the Royals:

 

That’s why they call Michael Young the “Captain.”
